In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the BJPs Rajveer Singh retained the Etah seat receiving 545,348 votes. SPs Devendra Yadav came second with 422,678 votes. This seat saw a 62.64% voter turnout.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Kalyan Singh's son Rajveer Singh won by a significant margin with 51% votes while his rival, the Samajwadi Party candidate Devendra Singh Yadav, got only 29% votes.

The Lodh, Yadav, and Shakya castes are prevalent in the Etah region. In the last Lok Sabha election (2019), there were about 1.6 million voters in this seat, of which 850,000 were male and 720,000 were female voters.

The Etah Lok Sabha constituency comprises five Assembly seats, comprising Kasganj, Amapur, Patiali, Etah and Marhara seats. Etah, saw its first election (1952) won by Congress. After that, the Hindu Mahasabha recorded victories in 1957 and 1962. However, the Congress made a strong comeback by winning the general elections in 1967 and 1971.

In the anti-Congress wave of 1977, Chaudhary Charan Singh's Bharatiya Lok Dal won by a huge margin. The last time Congress won from here was in the 1980 elections. After the victory of the Bharatiya Lok Dal in 1984, this seat went into the account of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).BJPs Mahakdeep Singh Shakya recorded significant victories in 1989, 1991, 1996 and 1998. In 1999 and 2004, the Samajwadi Party won from Etah. In the 2009 Lok Sabha election, former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh severed ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party, formed his party, and also won the election.

In the Etah parliamentary seat, SC voters constitute approximately 268,582 individuals, representing around 16.6% of the population as per the 2011 Census. There are no registered ST voters in this constituency. The rural population comprises the majority of voters, accounting for approximately 1,304,077 individuals, which is about 80.6% of the total population. Urban voters make up the remaining 19.4%, totaling around 313,885 individuals. As of the 2019 Parliament Election, the total number of voters in the Etah constituency stands at 1,617,962. There are 1,998 polling booths designated for electoral activities. The voter turnout for the 2019 Parliament Election was recorded at 61.5%.
