‘Ensure 100% saturation of social welfare, education & job schemes’
Lucknow: Referring to the govt's policy of ‘Antyodaya se Sarvodaya', Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the department of social welfare to ensure 100% saturation of all its schemes.Addressing a review meeting of the department, the CM said that officials should widely publicise all govt-run public welfare schemes to generate awareness and increase registrations. "As part of the Prime Minister Scheduled Caste Abhyuday Yojana (PM-AJAY), the grant-in-aid scheme should be linked with MSME and the CM's Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign to provide beneficiaries with employment-oriented training. Priority should be given to selection of female beneficiaries," the CM said."Areas of self-employment should be identified and beneficiaries linked with programmes like PM Vishwakarma and the state's Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana," he said. The CM said that under PM-AJAY, 10,384 villages were selected by the Govt of India under the Model Village Scheme. He also discussed the need to improve medical facilities for the elderly in old age homes."The govt has announced an increase from Rs 51,000 to Rs 1 lakh in assistance to beneficiaries under the CM Mass Marriage Scheme. The department should plan the implementation and usage of increased allocation," he said.Focusing on education, the CM said that facilities at Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Schools should be enhanced and it should become centres for promoting national inspiration and social harmony.Highlighting the CM Abhyuday Yojana which provides free coaching to students for competitive exams, the CM said that the department could empanel university and college teachers and connect newly appointed officers in the state with coaching centres.He also directed officials to enhance facilities in govt hostels for SC students.The CM also highlighted the need to increase trained manpower in UP SIDCO, which he said, should be linked with institutions like PWD, IIT, and AKTU for better training in civil and architecture fields.
