Lucknow: Electronic Media defeated Hindustan Times by 30 runs to enter the final of the 2nd Late Subhash Mishra Memorial Inter-Media Cricket Tournament on Saturday.
The title clash between the Times of India and Electronic Media will be organised at the KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium on Sunday.
Batting first in the second semi-final of the tournament, Electronic Media scored 149 runs losing six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Opener Satish Bharti scored 59 runs with the help of four boundaries and two sixes. Besides Bharti, only Devesh Pandey (34) and Mayur Shukla (16) could cross single-digit marks.
HT's Deepak Gupta took two wickets while Manish Singh and Anshul Kumar claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, HT could score only 119 runs at the loss of seven wickets. Rohit Singh and Sharad Deep scored 32 and 24 runs, respectively.
Abhinav Shukla and Anshul Kumar scored 19 runs each.
Ashish Pandey of Electronic Media claimed two wickets. Tarun Singh, Devesh Pandey, Mayur Shukla and Prabhav took one wicket each. Satish Bharti was adjudged the man of the match.
