‘Education takes care of both present & future generations’

Lucknow: Students of Shia PG College will now have a new spacious building in which postgraduate courses will be run. It will also have a new hall where literary, cultural and other events can be conducted. The two new buildings, Imam Ali Raza Block and K Hall, were inaugurated by the governor and chancellor Anandiben Patel on Thursday. Addressing students on the occasion, Governor said, “No matter how wealthy you are at present, your wealth won’t pass on to generations. It is only the education that strengthens not just the present, but coming generations too.” She said that 100 years ago there was no awareness about women’s education, nor was their education accorded a priority.“People had the perception that women were made only for domestic work. I am very happy to know that the foundation of Shia PG College was laid 104 years ago keeping in mind the priority of education of both male and female students, which persists even today,” she said, while sharing that she has 30 years of experience as a teacher and 20 years of experience in government departments, especially in the education department.
