ED books hotelier in FEMA case
Lucknow: The Lucknow unit of Enforcement Directorate on Sunday searched the premises of AP Sinha, owner of a hotel in Patna and booked him under FEMA. According to ED sources a huge amount of cash has been recovered from Sinha’s place. ED also found illegal money transactions worth USD 36,000.
Sources said that unaccounted transactions of Rs 25 crore had been unearthed from documents seized from the residence and office of AP Sinha.

ED sources said that the name of a hawala operator BD Dubey of Varanasi, and Gautam Mukherjee has surfaced. Sources, said there was a quarrel between a man and his wife at Varanasi railway station on Saturday. When GRP reached, the woman said that her husband has a lot of money. When the GRP searched it found USDollars 9,000 from his possession. The GRP informed the local police which forwarded the information to ED.
