Dignitaries laud divine aura of Kumbh

Prayagraj: A two-day 'Culture Kumbh', an event which brought together scholars, spiritual leaders, artists, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate the essence of India's timeless heritage, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
Hosted by Parmarth Niketan, the camp was inaugurated at Parmarth Camp, Sector 23, Arail Ghat.
Dignitaries present at the event lauded the divine aura and magnificence of Maha Kumbh, while also appreciating the exceptional cleanliness and well-organised facilities provided for pilgrims.
Principal secretary for urban development, Amrit Abhijat, said that preparations for Maha Kumbh began two years ago, with an estimated attendance of 40 crore people. So far, 38 crore devotees already participated in the grand event, with around 1.25 crore taking a holy dip daily. He emphasised that efforts are being made at every level to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.
He, however, said that during the last Kumbh, the govt spent Rs 2,315 crore on organising the event. In this Maha Kumbh, the Central Govt allocated Rs 7,000 crore, while the Uttar Pradesh Govt contributed Rs 7,400 crore, bringing the total investment to Rs 14,400 crore.
Swami Chidananda Saraswati, Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati, minister of state for energy Shripad Nayak, former Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal, author Shantanu Gupta, Pushkar Sharma, and columnist Shefali Vaidya were present at the event.
