Ayodhya Ram temple consecration: Delhi cops pat UP Police for seamless security

LUCKNOW: Delhi Police on Tuesday lauded UP Police for 'professional crowd management' during Ram Lalla's consecration ceremony.
The event was attended by over 7,000 VVIPs and celebrities from India and over 100 dignitaries from 54 countries.
"We appreciate Uttar Pradesh Police for providing seamless security and smooth traffic arrangements for the dignitaries and devotees who came for the historic moment of consecration of Shri Ram Lalla's life at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya and for organising the successful event," read the translated caption of the Hindi post shared by Delhi Police on its handle on 'X' on Jan 22.The post also had photograph of PM Narendra Modi offering a lotus flower to Ram Lalla during the consecration ceremony. UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also seen in the photograph.
Responding to Delhi Police's appreciation, UP Police posted, "Thanks for the appreciation" on 'X'.
Director general, law and order, Prashant Kumar, attributed the grand security success to advanced planning, studying different models of security temples with heavy footfalls across the country along with guidance from the state government and directions of CM Yogi Adityanath.
"We relied on the latest technology and took guidance from independent security experts and then implemented them on the ground," he said. Kumar said the robust security set up included 10,000 CCTV cameras and AI-equipped drones.
