Cyclists back after 4,000 km ride for road safety

LUCKNOW: Two cyclists who undertook a 4,000-km journey to spread awareness on road safety and traffic rules returned to the city on Monday after a successful mission.



Later in the day, they were felicitated by Shubham Soti Foundation at Sheroes Hangout Cafe in Gomtinagar. The duo, Atul Kumar Mishra and Swyam Mishra, paddled their way across several states, including UP, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh,

Madhya Pradesh

and

Gujarat

, spreading the message of road safety. The duo had started their cycle rally from Lucknow on August 16.

The cycle rally, organised by Shubham Soti Foundation, was flagged off from 1090 crossing. Swyam Mishra holds the

Limca Book of Records

for completing 3,500km journey from

Kanyakumari

to Kashmir, while Atul Kumar Mishra is an Armyman. They distributed pamphlets on road safety throughout their journey and exhorted people to take oath to follow traffic rules within city limits and on highways.
