Tomar, in Lucknow, said the Centre is mulling to introduce a technology wherein all subsidies for farmers would go directly into the farmers' account.
Replying to the question, the PM had said sick industries demand incentives. Help to farmers is also incentive and not subsidy and these subsidies would continue, come what may, said Tomar, quoting Modi.
Elaborating on the schemes for farmers, he said central government has reduced prices of fertilisers for the first time and the reduction would help farmers save around Rs 4,500 crore.
