Court issues NBW against DIG-rank cop

Lucknow: A local court in the state capital issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against a DIG-rank officer posted at radio headquarters, his wife, and an aide in connection with a case of cheating a businessman, on Sunday.
ACP, North Zone, Prachi Singh, told TOI that in October 2020, complainant Ramesh Gupta had lodged a complaint against the accused in Mahanagar.
Gupta alleged that the DIG, his wife and an aide promised to sell their flat in Indira Darshan Residency for Rs 60 lakh but he went back on his promise and forcibly evicted the complainant from the flat.
