Lucknow: Extensive waterlogging witnessed in the city recently and poor garbage disposal were major issues discussed during a meeting between corporators and Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) commissioner Inderjit Singh at LMC headquarters in Lalbagh.
Corporators of all 110 wards apprised commissioner of the civic issues being faced by the citizens in their respective wards. They raised the problem of improper garbage disposal that often clogs drains leading to waterlogging in their areas including Hazratganj, Gomtinagar, Indiranagar, Rajajipuram, Manas Vihar, Narhi, LDA Colony, Dalibagh, Martin Purwa, Jiamau, and Aliganj. The corporators also said that the garbage collection vans visit places irregularly, due to which residents throw garbage in the open.
LMC commissioner Indrajit Singh said that the meeting was to take feedback from corporators and directions have been issued to resolve all the issues at the earliest.
