LUCKNOW: Tanu weds Manu can have a sequel. And the script was written at the city’s Naka police station -- lovebirds tying knots and men-in-khaki playing match-makers to the hilt.
On Tuesday, cops from Naka Hindola police station led by inspector Ajit Singh Chauhan stood in rapt attention at an Arya Samaj temple in Ganeshganj to ensure that marriage of Amit Chaturvedi of Unnao, was solemnised peacefully with Kiran, a dalit girl.

Amit (22) is a driver while Kiran is a postgraduate and a native of Ambedkarnagar.
A division bench of the Allahabad high court comprising Justices Uma Nath Singh and Satish Chandra had directed the station house officer (SHO) Naka to ensure that Amit and Kiran were married on Tuesday without trouble. The order came after Amit filed a petition in the high court expressing fears that they cannot get married in Ambedkarnagar.
"We are informed that there is an Arya Samaj temple in Ganeshganj where marriages are solemnised...Station House Officer, Naka Hindola, Lucknow shall remain present and ensure that the marriage is solemnised without any interference or any law and order problem. Let this order be issued today..," the court order stated.
The case dates back to November last year. Kiran went missing from her relative Mahendra Kumar's house under Ghazipur police station on November 21.
