Contests mark conclusion of ‘Eat Right Millet Mela’

Lucknow: Students of various schools and colleges participated in different competitions organised as part of the Eat Right Millet Mela at Chatori Gali on Wednesday.
Organised by the Food Safety and Drug Administration to mark the International Year of Millets, the two-day event culminated with people relishing a variety of delicacies.
In poster-making competition (junior and senior group) Avika and Pooja Pal stood first, respectively. In mehndi contest, Fatima Siddiqui was declared winner while in slogan writing, Aradhya Gupta and Uzma Bano bagged first position in junior and senior category, respectively.Besides, Priyanka Yadav and Vaibhavi Awasthi were the winners in online and offline quiz competition, respectively. In rangoli, Anjali Kumari and Janhvi Shukla were winners in professional and junior category, respectively, while in senior category, Anushka and Astha bagged the first position.
In the evening a cultural programme was organised in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Food Safety and Drug Administration minister Harishankar Singh.
