As a result auto rickshaws were jammed with commuters between Charbhagh and Polytechnic with public being overcharged for the service.

"I take a bus from Jawahar Bhawan to Lekhraj. As it was not available, I had to commute through auto by paying double the regular fare," said Ravikant, a government employee.

Traffic snarls at Burlington and Kaiserbagh gave a tough time to people who had to use overloaded e -rickshaws. "I could not find transportation even after waiting for hours so I had to evenutally take an e-rickshaw," said Tanushre, a student of Emma Thompson School.

Narrating his plight, Himanshu of National PG College said, "My

friends

and I had to book an auto as shared autos were jam-packed. Autos which were available only catered passengers who agreed to go in reserve."

"The office time

rush

anyway takes up a lot of time and the strike has only aggravated

the situation

as my colleagues and I were left stranded at the bus stop, " said Tarun Dixit who work at Shakti Bhawan."I booked a private cab to reach office on time, as I was aware of the strike before," said Paras, an MNC employee.
