Commission, corruption dominate BJP’s ‘3C inflation’: Akhilesh
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said BJP-style commission, corruption coupled with Covid-linked inflation constituted the BJP’s ‘3C inflation’.
Akhilesh’s statement was a spin on the term ‘3C inflation’ used in economics, where it refers to a pricing strategy where 3C stands for Cost, Collections and Communication.
“The common man has received the third dose of inflation (in the form of latest fuel hike). Congratulations to all those BJP supporters who claim that they will continue to back govt irrespective of the inflation they have to face,” Akhilesh said in a statement on Friday.
Akhilesh further alleged that govt was out to deprive the PDA of their right to reservation as enshrined in the Constitution of India.
He said the party has already exposed how despite 27% reservation to the Backward Classes, the BJP gave only 3.8% in recruitment of 69,000 teachers. The Scheduled Castes too got 16.2% reservation instead of 21% that they were entitled to.
Earlier, addressing party cadres at SP headquarters, the former UP CM said there were some unlicenced ‘invisible weapons’ at work that were causing more damage to society than any of the visible licenced weapons could cause.
His comments were in apparent reference to a recent high court order asking state govt to provide details of the arms licences issued to influential politicians despite the fact that they have two or more criminal cases pending against them.
“Licences are issued for only real arms and ammunition. But there are some invisible weapons that are secretly unleashing lethal attack on the country, the society and brotherhood. There was a need to identify and expose these unlicenced invisible weapons,” Akhilesh said.
Akhilesh also flagged corruption concerns, citing recent demolition drives against lawyers’ makeshift chambers.
The lawyers, whose makeshift chambers were recently declared illegal and razed by the authorities, are now demanding verification of the land, shops, offices and premises of BJP people, Akhilesh said.
“The lawyers want govt to publicise details of the donations collected in the name of schemes and calamities, and these accounts should be audited,” Akhilesh said, adding that the lawyers want to know how to acquire property in the name of an entity that is not registered.
“The common man is curious to know who is funding the daily expenses of the unregistered associates of the BJP who claim to be ‘swadeshi’ but go on tours abroad,” he said.
