: Lieutenant general Gyan Bhushan, general officer commanding-in-chief, South Western command and colonel of the Mahar Regiment visited the Red Eagle division on Monday.
During his one day visit to Allahabad, the GOC-in-Chief visited Headquarters Red Eagle Division, where he was briefed on various aspects of administration, welfare of troops and station matters by the General Officer Commanding, Red Eagle Division.
Lt Gen Bhushan also felicitated and interacted with the mountain expedition team of the Red Eagle Division. The team achieved a unique distinction by successfully summiting Mount Trishul, which is at a height of 7,120 metres on May 24 from a previously unexplored direction.
The expedition team members shared their experiences with the GOC-in-C, who appreciated the efforts of the team and congratulated them on the success of the expedition. He also encouraged the spirit of adventure in the Army.Anju Bhushan, regional president of the Army Wives Welfare Association, South Western Command, who was accompanying Lieutenant General Gyan Bhushan, interacted with the families of officers and troops of the Red Eagle Division during the visit.
