CMO murder: Bail of accused rejected

Special additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) CBI, Intikhab Alam on Thursday rejected the bail plea of deputy CMO Dr Yogendra Singh Sachan in connection with an FIR lodged against him by family welfare department for financial irregularities.

LUCKNOW: Special additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) CBI, Intikhab Alam on Thursday rejected the bail plea of deputy CMO Dr Yogendra Singh Sachan in connection with an FIR lodged against him by family welfare department for financial irregularities.
The FIR has been lodged by joint director Dr Rajendra Singh on the suspicion that Dr BP Singh was killed due to alleged financial irregularities in the department.

Meanwhile, the court granted 48-hour police remand of Dr Sachan and two other accused Dr Chandrajeet Yadav and Prem Chandra Verma. The remand period will begin on Friday from 10 am.
The police had sought the remand of the accused for interrogation and recovery of documents in connection with Dr BP Singh's murder.
