CM honours police officers with outstanding service medal from 2022 to 2025

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honoured 16 police officers and personnel with the Chief Minister's Outstanding Service Police Medal for exemplary dedication, professionalism, and distinguished service during the years 2022 to 2025.For 2022, the awardees included Prabhakar Chaudhary, Vinay Chandra, Ravindra Pratap Singh, Dinesh Kumar Dandiyal, and Manu Chaudhary. The 2023 recipients were Shailesh Kumar Pandey, Vishal Vikram Singh, Vishal Sangari, Manoj Chikara, and Shailesh Kuntal.
For 2024, honours were conferred on Anurag Arya, Vimal Kumar Singh, and Arun Kumar. The 2025 awardees included Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, Parmesh Shukla, and Priyanshi Prajapati.Officials said the honours recognise outstanding contributions in maintaining law and order, intelligence, counter-terror operations, and public safety across Uttar Pradesh. IG Shailesh Pandey was rewarded for confiscating property worth more than Rs 300 crore of slain don Atiq Ahmed and family members during his stint as SSP Prayagraj in 2022. Apart from these, several properties of other mafias were also attached in Prayagraj. Additional SP in STF Vishal Vikram Singh was rewarded for the encounter of criminal Alisher from Azamgarh on September 22, 2021. Alisher was carrying Rs 1 lakh reward on any information leading to his arrest. He used to take contracts from gang members of Mukhtar Ansari and was on the run after killing Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Ranchi Jitram Munda. The criminal used to carry carbines and other sophisticated weapons. Superintendent of police (Sambhal) Krishna Kumar Bishnoi was honoured for spearheading a crackdown on Rs 100 crore interstate insurance fraud racket, active for over a decade. Under his leadership, police arrested 68 accused in 17 cases, exposed fraudulent tractor financing across several states, and unearthed the gang's involvement in murders and Aadhaar manipulation. DSP (STF) Pramesh Shukla was awarded for his probe into a high-profile case involving Jamaluddin alias Chhangur Shah alias Peer Baba. His investigation revealed a foreign-funded network driving forced religious conversions and demographic manipulation. The probe traced over Rs 100 crore in suspicious funding across more than 40 bank accounts, including links to Switzerland. Another recipient, constable Priyashi Prajapati (Agra Commissionerate), was recognised for her exceptional achievements in sports. A decorated wrestler, she won several national and international medals, most notably securing gold for India in the 50 kg category at the U-17 Wrestling Asian Championship held in Vietnam in June 2025—an achievement that brought global recognition to the UP Police.
