City youth join hands against elderly abuse

Lucknow: A group of senior citizens along with some youth on Sunday gathered at an event organized by Motivators Club to mark ‘World Elder Abuse Awareness Day’ observed on June 15 across the world.
Some games were also organized for the entertainment of senior citizens followed by a cup of coffee and snacks.
Psychologist Madhurima Pradhan and senior journalist Yogesh Mishra were called as guests for discussion.
Mishra said that along with education, we should also give values to our children.
“Whenever our children do some commendable work, we should motivate and praise them,” he said while expressing concern over the trend of people eating food sitting separately and watching TV sitting in different rooms.
Praising Gaurav Chhabra, founder of Motivagers Club, Madhurima Pradhan said that Motivagers club is doing a great job to reduce the growing generation gap in the society and are actually dealing with the much-needed emotional quotient.
Co-founder of the club Astha Singh along with volunteers Akarshika Singh and Saumya Singh were present at the event.
