Citizens also pay homage to bravehearts

Lucknow: Marking the 24th Kargil Vijay Diwas, more than 200 people assembled at Kargil Shaheed Smritika Vatika, Kaiserbagh, on Wednesday to pay homage to the brave soldiers, who lost their lives in the Kargil war.
The day began with a band playing ‘Ae Mere Vatan Ke Logon’ instrumental, with CM Yogi Adityanath, energy minister AK Sharma, finance minister Suresh Khanna, mayor Sushma Kharakwal paying tributes to the martyrs.
Gopi Chandra Pandey, the father of Capt Manoj Pandey, Satya Prakash Sharma, the father of Major Ritesh Sharma, Kamla Dwivedi, the wife of Lance Naik Kewalanand Dwivedi and Veena Mahant, the mother of Rifleman Sunil Jung were felicitated.
