Revathy became the first to pen a book on transgender community and also her autobiography as the story of all

sexual minorities

. On concluding day of Lucknow Literature Festival on Sunday , Revathy set an example of progressive feminist writings, by sharing her life story. Writer and feminist publisher

said, “When we started the feminist publishing house in 1984, books by women writers or on women issues like dowry and domestic violence didn't exist.“
