CAG report on corruption in schemes: AAP to launch stir

Lucknow: Relying on a recent CAG report which alleged corruption in various schemes, including the Dwarka Expressway and the Ayushman Bharat, the AAP decided to hold a statewide demonstration against the BJP on August 24.The protest will also mark the launch of a larger campaign against the BJP by the AAP. The AAP workers will visit every village, telling people about the alleged corruption in these schemes, said party MP and UP in-charge Sanjay Singh. He said as per the CAG report Rs 250 crore was spent on laying a stretch of one km of the Dwarka Expressway which was estimated to be built on Rs 18 crore. Under the Bharat Mala project, 75,000 km of road was to be laid which led to an alleged scam of Rs 7.5 lakh crore, Singh said.
