GORAKHPUR: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday attacked the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress, saying these parties were spreading rumours about the BSP to mislead people.

She attacked BJP and called the Congress and SP opportunist parties. "Congress and SP both are opportunist parties and people are facing issues till date due to wrong policies of the Congress. Crime and hatred in religions and castes have increased during the BJP government. Unemployment has increased and government jobs are decreasing and the government is focused on privatization. It has also failed to implement the reservation system."
While enumerating the achievements of his government, she said, "During my government, labourers and the poor got full respect and there was rule of law. We will ensure employment and security if we come to power. No harassment in the name of caste and religion will be made and cases against the innocent will be taken back. Old pension schemes will be applied."
She said in lighter vein that the BSP doesn’t release a manifesto but works while SP and BJP are cashing BSP’s work.
She also claimed that for peace and respect for all religion and class, BSP is needed in the state.
