KANPUR: The Bahujan Samaj Party has announced its candidates for the all assembly seats of twin districts of Kanpur city and Dehat and urged the party workers to begin election campaign.

kanpur: the bahujan samaj party has announced its candidates for the all assembly seats of twin districts of kanpur city and dehat and urged the party workers to begin election campaign. the bsp has fielded three muslim candidates and gave tickets to all the sitting mlas in kanpur dehat. according to information, asif husain, ahmad husain, haneef ghosi, sheetla charan, lakhan lal tripathi and dr rashmi pathak have been announced as the party candidates for generalganj, aryanagar, cantonment, sisamau, govindnagar and kalyanpur constituencies respectively.

in kanpur dehat, ram prasad pasi, rajaram pal, ashkaran sankhwar, bhagwati sagar, ram swarup and ashok katiyar have been declared candidates for sarsaul, ghatampur, bhognipur, billhaur, sarwan khera and chaubeypur constituencies. sources informed that party vice-president mayawati has instructed all the office-bearers to start election campaign in their respective areas. she has also asked the party leaders to chalk out the programmes for her public meetings so that voters as well as the party activists could be geared up for the campaign. insider say mayawati's main concern is the lok janshakti party which has set eyes on the traditional vote bank of the bsp. the newly declared candidates would pay regular visits in areas where the lok janshakti party leader ram vilas paswan had addressed the public meetings in recent past.
