Viewers enjoy Dhunuchi dance at Bong Fest-2

Lucknow: Dhunuchi dance enjoyed by the audience at Bong Fest season 2- Bijoy Sammelani 2024 organised by Bengali Adda- Bengali Welfare Society at Badshahnagar community ground on Sunday.The programme was inaugurated by Swami Muktinathananda, secretary of Ramkrishna Math. The programme featured traditional Bengali dance ‘Dhunuchi' performed by 60 women artists. Two dancers Eesha and Meesha captivated the audience by their performance. Later, poetry recitation, art completion, solo performances on Bengali songs and Tagore songs were performed. People were seen clicking selfies with friends and family and enjoyed shopping from 35 stalls displaying home decor items, handicraft, accessories and vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.Women were seen buying shawls and sarees. A visitor, Shreya Seth said, "I enjoyed a lot and purchased a saree for myself and clicked selfies". Another visitor Shilpi Sinha said, "Such programmes showcase our Bengali culture and I was very excited to come here and enjoy all the traditional Bengali performances and poetry performances".While another visitor Sneha Rathee, who came along with her friend Jay Nagar, said, "We came to know about the programme from one of our friends. We came here from Kolkata".The programme ended with a traditional Bengali dinner in which different savouries were served.
