Body of 12-year-old boy found hanging from tree

LUCKNOW: A 12-year-old boy's body was found hanging from a tree at a mango grove near his house in Gosainganj police station area on Monday afternoon. The boy was identified as Ankit Yadav, a resident of Sohramau Gauraha village under the same police station area. Though the police have yet not received the post-mortem report, they believe that the boy probably committed suicide by hanging himself from the tree.
A student of Class VII at Shishu Mandir school situated near his village, the boy, according to the police, had gone missing from his house on Monday morning. A search was launched by the family members of Ankit. However, they failed to trace him. It was only at around 2.30pm, that a few villagers spotted the body of the boy hanging from a tree at a mango grove hardly a few metres from his house.
The police on receiving the information reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
