LUCKNOW: Leader of Opposition

Ram Govind Chaudhary

targeted BJP saying it makes lofty claims of working to ensure Ram Rajya in state but commits gravest crimes and sins. Speaking in UP assembly on Tuesday, Chaudhary further alleged that the Yogi government is involved in corruption and scandals and lathicharges people when they oppose it. The government unleashes CBI, ED and other law-enforcing agencies to muzzle the voice of those who oppose its bad policies and hence it has no right to call a special session on Constitution Day, he added.

“BJP murdered democracy in a mid-night coup in Maharashtra. It has been conspiring to grab power through backdoor and defiled the sanctity and spirit of Constitution by involving the highest constitutional offices in late night machinations in Bihar, Karnataka,Goa and Maharashtra,” said Chaudhary. “The government holds specials sessions just to grab newspaper headlines. It should do concrete work for welfare of people and state and shed practice of trying to grab media space,” he added.
