Better treatment for cancer patients

Lucknow: Patients suffering from the initial stage of cervical cancer will soon get better treatment at Lok Bandhu hospital.
A new machine ‘Thermal Ablation’ was installed in the hospital on Public Partnership (PPP) mode and will be in operation from April 1.
This was informed by medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr Ajay Tripathi on Wednesday.
“Cervical cancer is spreading rapidly in India and is the second largest cancer in women. “The thermal ablation machine is a minimally invasive, image-guided treatment that uses heat or extreme cold to destroy tumor cells, including cancer within seconds,” he said.
“The training of two gynecologists was done and the machine will be operational from April,” said Tripathi.
“It will be the first such machine in the district hospital and provide better treatment to patients,” he added.
