LUCKNOW: The post-mortem report of Ram Gopal Mishra, who was killed in a violent clash during a Durga idol immersion procession, revealed that his chest was riddled with over 30 pellet injuries.
The fatal injuries were caused by multiple shots during the violence that erupted on Sunday evening in Maharajganj, Bahraich. A source in the police said that based on the injury, it seems that a DBBL could have been used to shoot Ram Gopal.
Ram Gopal was allegedly caught by members of Salman and Hamid's household. During the ensuing scuffle, he was shot, and over 30 pellets struck his chest. The police managed to extract him from the house, but Ram Gopal succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
Following the incident, the police searched Hamid's house in an attempt to locate the weapon used in the firing but were unable to find it.
