Azamgarh DIG, SSP shifted

LUCKNOW: A day after the attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Yogi Adityanath���s motorcade, the state government shunted deputy inspector general of police (DIG), Azamgarh, Abhimanu Tripathi and senior superintendent of police (SSP), Azamgarh, Vijay Garg out of the district. Vijay Kumar has been appointed as the new DIG and Ramit Sharma as the new SSP of the trouble-hit district.
This apart, 11 other IPS officers were transferred including GP Sharma, who was IG Gorakhpur and will now join as IG Agra Zone, replacing Gurbachan Lal who now goes to PAC Lucknow in the same capacity.
IG PAC Lucknow KK Saxena has been transferred to the Human Rights wing of the UP Police. IG personnel HC Kashyap has been posted as the new IG Gorakhpur. DIG Azamgarh Abhimanyu Tripathi has swapped places with DIG CB\CID Lucknow Vijay Kumar.
DIG Aligarh Brij Bhushan will now be the new DIG of Gorakhpur range, swapping places with Abhay Kumar Prasad. SP Intelligence (Lucknow) Sanjay Srivastava has been transferred to the post of SP Chandauli. SP Railways Satish Ganesh will now look after the post of SSP Mathura, replacing SP Siredkar who has been attached to the Director General of Police (DIG) headquarters here as his central deputation has been cleared and is awaiting a formal call.
SP Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kanpur city Vijay Singh Meena has been transferred to the 30 battalion PAC in Gonda. He has been replaced by SSP Azamgarh Vijay Kumar Garg.
While the transfer of Shailendra Pandey to SP Chandauli has been cancelled, SP Police Training School (PTS) Gorakhpur Nachketa Jha has been posted as the new SSP of Maharajganj - the post that was vacated by Ramit Sharma, the new SSP Azamgarh.
