Ayushman Bhav to cover all villages

Lucknow: The UP government has launched the Ayushman Bhav campaign to ensure that everyone benefits from health schemes in every village and ward.Under the campaign, gram panchayats and urban wards, which will achieve 100% of the health-related goals, will be designated as 'healthy'. The campaign will also focus on distributing Ayushman cards to the poor and making new Ayushman cards available at the village and ward level.At a high-level meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued necessary guidelines to the health department officials regarding the Ayushman Bhav campaign. He asked officials to complete the prescribed indicators soon to make every gram panchayat and ward in the state an 'Ayushman Gram Panchayat' or 'Ayushman Urban Ward'.Under the campaign, 100% Ayushman cards (above five years of age) should be made in panchayats and wards; an Aabha card (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) for every eligible beneficiary above five years of age should be made; every person above 30 years of age should be screened for communicable diseases (diabetes and high blood pressure); and about 3% of the population should be tested for TB in a year, an officer added.Along with this, it is necessary for more than 85% of TB patients in that gram panchayat and ward to get successful treatment. At the same time, it is necessary for every person between the ages of zero and 40 to be screened and card distributed for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). At the launch of the campaign, the Municipality Chairperson, Block President, and village heads must be present in the gram panchayat, while the MLA, MP, zilla parishad president and eminent social workers of the area must be present in the ward, the officer said.Chief Medical Officer, district tribal officer, district women and child development officer, district panchayati raj officer will also be present in the program. During the campaign, Ni-kshay Mitras will be acknowledged under the Prime Minister's TB Free India Campaign. Besides, they will also be sworn in as organ donors.The Ayushman Bhav campaign is a significant step towards ensuring that everyone has access to quality healthcare. The campaign will focus on preventive care, early detection, and treatment of diseases, and ensuring universal access to Ayushman Bharat health insurance.
