Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad on Sunday arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in illegal conversion of innocents to Islam by luring them, in Saharanpur.
Those arrested were identified as Nazim Hasan alias
Rashid,
Mohammad Sadiq and Azhar Malik.

Naveen Arora, said that accused Nazim Hasan alias Rashid told during interrogation that he was introduced to one Somdutt Singh of Saharanpur and initially used to give him medicine for controlling sugar levels.
“Nazim further confessed that during the course of his visit to Somdutt’s residence he instigated his son Gaurav to convert to Islam by explaining to him about the religion,” said Arora.
He also taught Gaurav to read namaz, keep fast and invited him to the madrassa by describing Islam as the best religion in the world and showing other religions as wrong, said Arora, based on interrogation with Nazim.
ADG Arora said that Nazim has played an important role in converting Hindus, including Gaurav to Muslim by instilling fear, persuasion, greed for jobs and marriages.
The officer said that it has surfaced that one Reshma of Bangalore had contacted Gaurav through Nazim and trapped him and inspired him to convert to Islam.
Accused Sadiq and Azhar offered financial allurement to Gaurav for converting him to Islam, said the ATS.
Arora said that an FIR under UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act and other sections was slapped on the accused.
