Lucknow: Thirty-one paintings of 18 young artists are displayed at an art exhibition ‘Pratibimb’ which began at the State Lalit Kala Akademi (SLKA) on Wednesday.
Curated by Prof Pooja Verma, the exhibition will remain open till December 31 from 11am-6pm daily. Made in different mediums like acrylic on canvas, multi-media on canvas, oil on canvas and pen work on paper, the paintings depict different themes like – mythology, landscapes, realism and abstract.
Deepali Bhawsar (22), whose realistic portrait of a kathakali dancer is a part of the exhibition, said that she has been interested in painting since her childhood, but her interest in realism is new. Paintings of Hindu gods and goddesses Ram, Radha and Krishna made using pen and marker strokes by Rohit Singhal (24) are also displayed in the exhibition.
