Aparna Yadav dances to 'Padmavati' song, draws flak
LUCKNOW: A dance performed by SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav at a private function has landed her into a controversy. A video has gone viral in which she can be seen dancing to the tune of '
The controversial film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been facing a wave of protest across India specially by Rajasthan-based Karni Sena alleging tempering of historical facts.

Aparna danced to the song while celebrating her younger brother Aman Bisht's engagement ceremony at a five-star hotel in Lucknow on Saturday. "It is sad that a prominent political family's member has chosen to behave in such a fashion. It is as if she is trying to tease us and rub salt in our wounds," a leader of Karni Sena said.
Yadav, wife of Mulayam Singh's younger son Prateek, spoke her mind openly on many political issues and ruffled feathers in the past.
She unsuccessfully contested the Lucknow Cantt seat in the February-March Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has decided to ban “Padmavati” in the state. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar and Punjab too have followed the same path.
Padmavati was scheduled for release on December 1, but it has been deferred since. Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh starrer film is awaiting for clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification.
