Alumni celebrate golden jubilee of Sainik School

Lucknow: On the occasion of golden jubilee celebrations of Sainik School, Tilaiya, Jharkhand, programmes were held across the country, including Tilaiya, Jharkhand, and Lucknow by 1973-batch students of the school.
They also launched a book 'Batchmates' written by senior journalist and a freelance writer Ajit Kumar Jha. The book is full of anecdotes while motivating and inspiring the readers with the classic example of the exemplary principal, Lt Col Satsangi.He was a great mentor who used to train the boys in his daily interactions with them.
Addressing the students of the school, Brigadier (retd) Arbindam, the school captain from the 1973 batch, recalled his times and the gruelling schedule they used to follow. "This batch gave extraordinary results of 75% success in the NDA selection," he said.
Air Marshal Suraj Jha of the same batch made a comparison of their times with the current times to bring with precision what success meant those days and what it means now when the level of competence, knowledge, and performance has enhanced rapidly.
