Alok Ranjan falls, injured

Lucknow: Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan on Wednesday sustained minor injuries when he slipped and fell inside his official residence in Lucknow. Ranjan was rushed to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital for treatment, where the doctors said he had minor injuries on the head, and a sprain in his left hand. In an official release by the district administration, district magistrate Raj Shekhar said Ranjan will remain under observation at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.He also said the chief secretary's X-ray and CT scan were normal. "He is fine now and recovering. Doctors have advised him rest," the DM added.
