AKTU to consider CUET, 10+2 scores if seats remain vacant
Lucknow: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will take into consideration the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and Class 10+2 marks of candidates for admission to engineering courses if seats remain available after the merit list of candidates with JEE scores is exhausted.AKTU will open registration window for admission next month and complete the process by the second week of Aug."We are beginning our admission process early this year so that the session begins on the scheduled date as mentioned in our academic calendar. We are considering scores of JEE, CUET and 10+2 for admission to our engineering courses this year," said vice-chancellor Prof JP Pandey.He said CUET and 10+2 scores will be considered only after the merit list of candidates with JEE scores is exhausted."To ensure that there are no delays at AKTU-affiliated colleges for beginning the session, we have directed all colleges to complete the process of renewing their affiliation by June 30," said the VC.He said colleges that fail to renew their affiliation as per our tentative admission schedule will face consequences. Registrations will start in April-May, and counseling will begin in the second week of June. Affiliation will be completed by June 30, and the details of the seats will be prepared in the first week of July. The counseling process will be completed in July and will wind up by Aug 14.
