AKTU approves Rs100cr for innovation, entrepreneurship
Lucknow: With the finance committee approving a fund of Rs 100 crore to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, the students and teachers of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will not face any financial obstacles to innovate, research and give practical form to their ideas."This fund will provide assistance to innovation hubs and incubation centres so that the university can provide assistance to its students for innovation and entrepreneurship which will help in the govt's goal of achieving a 5 trillion economy," said AKTU vice chancellor Prof JP Pandey.He said that a budget was approved to start a B.Tech course from the new session in the university campus.VC also said that to promote the high-quality research, a budget of Rs 6 crore was approved for the establishment of centre of excellence in bioprinting and applied biotechnology in the department of Biotechnology of IET Lucknow.
