Akhilesh Yadav to retain Kannauj LS seat: Chaudhary

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will retain the Kannauj parliamentary seat and also head the party in Lok Sabha, said SP national spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary on Saturday. He also confirmed that Akhilesh will resign from the post of Leader of Opposition and also quit as MLA from Karhal seat.

Chaudhary said the newly elected SP MPs will elect the party's parliamentary head in Delhi. This meeting will be held after the swearing-in of the Prime Minister and nomination of Lok Sabha’s protem Speaker.
