LUCKNOW: One of the leading telecom operators,

Aircel

launched a service – mobile backup solution, which enables its customers to take their mobile backup on cloud storage and use it on multiple devices.

Aircel subscribers

are able to back up their contacts, messages, images, videos, audios and other files.

Aircel said, “This innovative service is free of cost and users are able to backup up to 2GB storage space. To ensure enhanced safety and security of customer’s data the service is integrated with Mobile connect PIN based authentication which provides multi-factor authentication.”

Anupam Vasudev

, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said, “The Aircel backup app offers our customers the ease of storing all their important information on the cloud with the luxury of accessing that information across multiple devices. This takes care of the customer concern of freeing up memory space on their phones besides keeping their data safe. Moreover the data backup is free of charge and is accessible anytime anywhere.”

He added, “Using mobile connect authentication, Aircel has taken a step ahead to address users’ personal data privacy using industry best practices. It gives users peace of mind as cloud storage access is only possible with 2-factor authentication. It is the Telco’s infrastructure which authenticates the user rather than any user name and password or social media logins.”

The backup service is developed on Aircel mobile app platform. The service is available for Android users presently and soon will be launched for

iOS

and Windows OS customers. Data charges for accessing the application and taking back up will be as per customer’s existing data pack.

Aircel is one of India’s leading innovative mobile service providers. The company is a pan-India 2G operator with 3G spectrum in 13 circles. It claims to have the fastest 3G roll out in the Indian telecom space.
