AGDC holds rank ceremony of NCC girls

Lucknow: The rank ceremony of the NCC cadets of the 19 UP girls' battalion, NCC Lucknow, was held at Avadh Girls' Degree College, Lucknow on Friday.The event was organised under supervision of principal, Prof Bina Rai and NCC officer Lieutenant Sarita Singh. The chief guest for the occasion was director general, training headquarters, Tilottama Verma. The manager of the college, Prof Nishi Pandey formally welcomed and honoured the chief guest. She also expressed her gratitude to Lt Singh for her mentorship of the cadets, and encouraged the students to pursue excellence. Following this, a video titled ‘Glory of NCC' was showcased.The highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of ranks to the cadets, conducted jointly by the chief guest Verma and Prof Pandey. The newly appointed rank holders included senior under officer Avantika, under officers Priya Kulshreshtha and Divyanshi Singh, sergeants Jyoti Yadav, Nitya Mishra, Shreya Sharma, Jagriti Kumari and Maya Kumari, corporals Priya Verma, Khushi Kumari, Tabassum Iqbal and Jyoti Tripathi, as well as lance corporals Sania, Anshika Shukla, Mahima Tiwari and Vanya Shukla, among others.An oath-taking ceremony led by Lt Singh followed the rank distribution.
