LUCKNOW: Two junior engineers of the LDA were relieved to their parent department (local bodies department) on Thursday for allowing construction work at a building site in Vikas Khand, Gomtinagar.
According to reports, the construction work at plot 2/319 in Vikas Khand was found to be not in consonance with the building by-laws. The LDA had, therefore, sealed the building.
However, LDA vice-chairman, Rajeev Aggarwal, during an inspection of the area found construction activity being carried out at the site. He sought a reply from executive engineer R N Singh on the anomaly. Singh held responsible Rajendra Joshi and Musafir Singh, both junior engineers (JEs), for the error.
The LDA V-C then relieved the two officials with immediate effect and decided to hand over a charge-sheet. The Lucknow Development Authority officials said that the charge-sheets against the two were being prepared.
