Ace actor Anil Rastogi to get Sangeet Akademi Award

On Tuesday, the esteemed actor was conferred with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award by the National Academy of Music, Dance, and Drama in New Delhi, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of acting.

Rastogi's journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the arts. With over 600 theatre performances, numerous films, and television serials to his credit, he has carved a niche for himself as a multifaceted artist. A former scientist at the Central Drug Research Institute in Lucknow, Rastogi's transition into acting was driven by a profound passion for the craft. Despite his scientific background, Rastogi's innate talent for acting blossomed under the tutelage of acclaimed theatre stalwarts such as BV Karanth, MK Raina, Ravi Baswani, Balraj Pandit, and Raj Bisaria.
