A musical tribute to tabla maestro

Lucknow: A musical programme 'Lay Kislay' commemorating the centenary birth celebrations of tabla maestro late Pandit Kishan Maharaj was organised by UP Sangeet Natak Akademi in association with Jain Educational and Research Institute and International Buddha Research Institute in Valmiki Rangshala on Friday. Kishan Maharaj's children Pandit Puran Maharaj and Avantika Mishra also performed.
Play staged: 'The Great Indian Drama Company' was staged by UP Urdu Akademi and Mohini Akademi at Sant Gagdeji Maharaj Auditorium of UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Friday. The play was written by Dinesh Bharti and directed by Raja Awasthi while the music was given by Alok Srivastava.
