The Second Sunday Of Happy Streets Saw Energy Levels Of Participants Soaring As Sun Turned Milder

That there can be no better way to start your Sunday with ‘Happy Streets’ was proven once again when people of all age groups assembled at Lucknow’s own Marine Drive and participated in several music, fi tness and other entertainment activities.

The streets echoed with music and laughter, making the sultry summer morning come alive with activities during The Times of India’s most sought-after event.
While a toddler could be seen trying a hand in an activity like boxing, an elderly couple was seen supporting each other in riding a bicycle.

Organized by The Times of India in association with NBT, Virasat group, Dr. Kailash Narayan Singh Memorial Hospital, Lucknow Development Authority and Decathlon, the event will continue for next two Sundays.
The day which began with Yoga where a citybased trainer Urvashi Ahuja who taught pranayama, suryanamaskar and kriyas, ended with a laughter therapy session.

The thunderous laughter gave a boost to the Sunday morning. Tej, 69, Kamlesh, 65, Ruchi, 25, and Muskan, 27, were awarded for their enthusiastic participation in Yoga.

It was followed by a Zumba session and dance workout led by Arpita Bhutani and Anand Srivastava which gave an opportunity to the revellers to dance their hearts out on Punjabi songs.

Chandrabali, 30, Ruchi, 23, Ansuya, 42, and Abdul, 31, were awarded for their outstanding participation in Zumba session while Surbhi,23, Aryan, 24, Subhendu, 24, Deeksha, 27, and Awadhesh Singh, 58, were awarded in dance workout.

The highlight of the morn ing was the rendition of Bollywood number ‘Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche’. It saw young boys exhibiting bromance while the elderly couples reminiscing their youthful days and dancing in a romantic manner.

A performance by the friendship band also continued to woo the visitors who hummed along, swayed their hands in the air and lightly danced supporting the singers. Songs like – ‘Love you Zindagi’, ‘Illahi’ and ‘Tumhi ho Bandhu’ and ‘Har Kisi ko nahi milta yaha pyar zindagi me’ tried connecting people from different age groups.

The RJ activity by Shadab and Khushboo also entertained the audiences. It included one related to the night owls where the audiences were asked why they stay awake late at night.
The quirky replies from the audience were followed by a push up challenge and a hook-up challenge. The winners of the activities were awarded on the spot.
