9-day fest to celebrate good governance

Lucknow: A year to go before assembly polls, the Uttar Pradesh govt will celebrate in all districts till Mar 26 its nine years in power through a nine-day festival, focusing on its achievements, welfare programmes and development work since 2017.As per directions issued by chief secretary S P Goyal to all district administrations, an advisory committee will be constituted under chairmanship of all district magistrates to ensure holding all events. At district headquarters, the minister in charge will inaugurate the 9-day fair in the presence of public representatives, sharing govt's achievements by screening a short film and releasing a booklet.All departments will participate in exhibitions at district level, showcasing achievements, schemes and development work of 11 years of Central govt and nine years of state govt. Govt will promote economically viable models of animal husbandry and cow rearing through farmer conferences discussing strengthening of agricultural economy through breed improvement.
