Lucknow: Five more teachers from KGMU have been included in the list of top 2% scientists prepared by US-based Stanford University while five others retained their place. The report was prepared by Prof John PA Loannidis of Stanford University and his team and published by Elsevier.
Dr Sudhir Singh, spokesperson, KGMU, said that 1.95 lakh scientists across the world are included in the database based on the number of scientific papers and citations presented in 2021.
This year, Prof Rashmi Kumar of paediatrics, Prof Rajesh Verma from department of neurology, Prof Abbas Ali Mahdi of biochemistry, Divya Mahrotra, oral and maxillofacial surgery and Prof Suryakant of respiratory medicine made it to the list this year.
Dr RK Garg of neurology, Prof UC Chaturvedi and Prof Amita Jain of department of microbiology, Prof Sujit Kar of psychiatry and Prof Shally Awasthi of paediatrics department retained the place. Meanwhile, vice chancellor Lt Gen Prof Bipin Puri congratulated all the faculty members who made it to the list. tnn
