IPS
officers will be promoted in the state on New Year’s Eve. The department promotion committee (DPC) of the Union ministry of home affairs has approved the promotions of four IPS officers of the 1997 batch presently serving as Inspector General of Police (IG) following which they will become Additional Director General of Police (ADG) from
New Year
.
The four officers are IG UP-ATS Gajendra Kumar Goswamy, IG Technical Services Mohit Agarwal, IG Naveen Arora, and IG PAC Bhajani Ram Meena.
Similarly, three officers of the 2004 batch currently posted as
DIG
will be promoted to the rank of IG. They include DIG Range Saharanpur Preetinder Singh, Additional CP Noida Love Kumar, and DIG SSF Chandra Prakash.
Likewise, 18 IPS officers of the 2008 batch currently serving on the rank of SP/SSP will be promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG). The list includes

Intelligence Anand Rao Kulkarni, SP Varanasi Rural Amit Verma, Commandant PAC N Kolanchi, SP SCRB Sabha Raj, SSP Sultanpur
Vipin Mishra and others.
Senior officials said all the promoted IPS officers will be shifted after January 1, depending upon the ranks and vacancies.
