20 IPS officers transferred

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred 20 IPS officers including three director generals, and removed police chiefs of Jaunpur and Kanpur Dehat.Those transferred include DG special investigations team (SIT) Surya Kumar, who has now been appointed as DG telecom, while ADG telecommunications Dewendra Singh Chauhan has been posted as ADG prisons. While inspector general (IG) economic offences wing (EOW) Dawa Sherpa has been posted as IG railways, deputy IG (intelligence headquarters) Sayyed Wasim Ahmed has been posted as DIG Basti Range.Others transferred officers include superintendent of police (SP) Jaunpur Dinesh Kumar, SP Kanpur Dehat Wajeh Ahmed and additional SP Meerut Abhishek Singh.
