12 Lucknow University students crack UP higher education exam

LUCKNOW: Students of LU's political science and education departments have brought laurels to the university by making a mark in two national-level examinations. The results of these were announced recently. A dozen PhD students have been selected as assistant professors by UP Higher Education Commission. "It is a matter of great pride for us in the centenary year," said Shashi Shukla, head of the political science department.
She said the department students have been making it to the national-level examination regularly but this time, the numbers are heartening.
Besides, seven students have qualified the UP Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) postgraduate teacher examination for recruitment to government intermediate colleges and high schools of UP. While Sachin Pathak bagged the first rank in the examination, Bhanu Pratap Rai was at the second spot. In education department, 10 students have made it to UPSESSB and six have been selected in Bihar Lok Sewa Aayog.
